Crashing

He scoffed at me today when I said I was going to put down a wooden floor. He said, ‘YOU?!” laughed and then said, “That’s like me climbing into a plane and thinking I can fly it. It would crash. You’re too stupid to be able to lay a floor.” And I believed him. Instead of doing what I wanted to do and what I know I’m capable of doing, I just believed him and I didn’t even try because I just don’t want any more of his ridicules and judgements, they’re killing me just as quickly as they’re killing what love we once had for each other.
