A couple of days ago, Tom, Annie and I walked into town for a look around the shops. We stopped for lunch and popped into the park on the way back for a play on the swings. Tom even held my hand as we walked along. It was a gorgeous day, in many ways, not least of all because we felt like a proper couple.
Today, Tom has been working hard decorating the bathroom as well as preparing dinner and then cutting the grass and chopping down the tree at the front of the house. While he was doing all of that, I did loads of washing, tidied the house from top to bottom and cleared out the garage. In the evening I tackled two baskets full of ironing as well. The last few days have really felt as though Tom and I are a couple, a family and a team. It’s all I want from him. It’s all I’ve ever wanted.
