Creating Space

Tom went away four days ago to see his family so while he was away, I decided to tackle the garden which is so overgrown that we can’t use it. My sister, Sasha, my niece and three of my nephews came over to help alongside me and all of my children. We had two really lovely days where we all worked really hard but also had lots of fun too and at the end of it, the garden looked really good but more importantly, it was a useable space.

Tom came back this evening, saw the garden and rather than saying it looked nice or praising us for our hard work or even thanking us, all he did was get angry and annoyed and said we should have left it alone. I expect the only reason he’s angry is because I’ve proved him wrong for all the times he’s told me that I can’t do something or that I’m too stupid or too lazy or maybe it’s because it puts him to shame because he never does anything to help. Either way, I don’t care. The kids have a garden to play in again and that’s all that matters to me.
